I could see maybe earlier on with the iPhone being the deception, since you're probably more likely to see more users who are new to computers and/or never used iTunes (until they got their phone) and not knowing how Apple updates work on Windows, but I don't see too many iPad users falling for it.

My vote went to qpawn for the nice blending of vibrant colors surrounding the Apple logo.

Hi,
I have a question about using iDVD in conjunction with final cut pro 2. I dont have DVD burning capability but I have a friend that has a superdrive and iDVD. I have a movie that I made in final cut that I would like to put on a DVD via iDVD. The question is (pretty basic) what should I save the file as to be able to use in iDVD. I would like the best quality that I can have. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Wow guys, harsh much?
The last time I remember a Mac gaming company being bought out, it was Microsoft buying Bungie. This transaction is infinitely better, and shows growth in the Mac/iPhone gaming market.
Next thing you know, we'll have Mac gaming companies buying out Windows/mobile gaming companies :D
Well, I can wish, can't I?

So I want to send photos from my iPad out to clients that have the correct file name when they were placed in the synced folder, such as "Berkshires.2.11.11.jpg" instead of the very much useless "Photo.jpg".
Can I can do this from my mobile me / iDisk account with hi-res on that cloud synced to low res for comp only on my iPad and have the file names jive?
What is needed in order to do this?

Why don't you try to put this into the official theme download page for safari themes?
I'm actually wondering where I can post this puppy before it gets outdated. I'm working on getting it posted on update.mozilla.org. Anywho, urls are worth a thousand words.

I feel bad for any sucker who buys that. These ads are designed to appeal to people who know nothing about computers.

All that will do is make me have to do an extra step and now the picture is located in two places. Both the original folder and the alias.
That's not true. An alias is just a shortcut, pointing to a location. If you use that method, there will only be one copy of the pic.
I don't want to go to the current photo booth folder and drag and drop the image to the desktop or where I need it to be.
You never have to go to the Photo Booth folder. As I said, you can drag the pics directly from the Photo Booth app to whatever folder you want, or to your Mail icon, to email it. You don't need to touch Finder at all, if you don't want to.
I simply wanted the save directory to default to desktop. Based on your answers and suggestions I'm assuming it's not possible to change the default save directory? That makes zero sense.
There is no setting in Photo Booth to allow changing the default folder. Perfectly acceptable alternative solutions have been offered that will accomplish what you want, yet you reject them because you want the software to do something it's not designed to do. Now what makes zero sense?

It was really only a matter of time. The technology still has a few kinks to work out, but the business model is sound and successful.
I bought a TV show, just to test the user experience. As a video professional, I was somewhat dissapointed with the quality of the image, but I was using an older, slower G4. Perhaps quicktime was optimized to drop frames in order to keep running in real time?
I was hoping it would be the same H.264 compression that Apple uses for Quicktime Movie Trailers. Those downloads (streams?) look outstanding!
Eventually, I'm sure that video quality and user experience will be outstanding. After all, the first automobile manufactured was not a Ferrari Enzo.

...The Apple care specialist says there is an known issue with the 850XT that is being addressed but with no known timetable.
Great. I ordered the computer on the 26th with the X850XT. Hopefully I wont experience any problems. It's nice to know that they will take care of the issue in a timely fashion though if any arise.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep a look out for artifacts.

That's not true. LG have a relatively new LED backlit IPS monitor series, I believe they do a 20, 22 and 23 inch. No 24's though and they're all in 16:9, not a problem for me personally, but I know some people like 16:10.
Alternatively there's an array of RGB backlit HP Dreamcolour monitors just shy of $2000, but they're fairly hideous.
I'm also confused, what's the desire for LEDs OP?
Because I know basically nothing about Monitors, and after seeing the colour and picture quality, I looked up into what types the ACD is, and assumed monitors have to use those technologies to get the vivid colours and rich blacks with the good viewing angles.
